The Bradford Protein Assay is the preferred colorimetric assay for quantifying total protein concentration. Based upon complex formation between basic and aromatic amino acid residues with Coomassie® Brilliant Blue G-250 dye1, the Bradford method is easier, faster and more sensitive than the Lowry method. The standard protocol is useful for measuring between 10 – 100 μg of protein and the microassay is useful for measuring between 1 – 10 μg of protein. Kit includes: Bradford Reagent, 1 L and Albumin, Bovine – 0.5 mg/ml Standard, 1.5 ml.

The Biuret Protein Assay is a simple method for determining protein concentration. The amount of protein present in the sample is calculated based on the color change of the copper in the Biuret reagent in the presence of peptide bonds. The intensity of the color change is directly proportional to the number of peptide bonds present. Contains sufficient material to run 50 – 70 samples.
