Promega Webinar, In this webinar we will discuss Characterizing MS status in challenging samples, including those with ambiguous results or small shifts, can be difficult. Endometrial and other cancers tend to have fewer, smaller marker shifts making MSI analysis cumbersome. Research suggests that mismatch repair deficiency causes proportionally more disruption to longer markers with repeat regions, particularly long mononucleotide repeats. This means shifts in longer markers tend to be greater thus more readily detected by fragment analysis. In this webinar, Dr. Samantha Lewis describes the development of a new PCR assay to detect MSI in solid tumors utilizing a new 8-marker panel that includes both gold standard markers and novel long mononuceotide repeats for a research-based approach to maximize sensitivity. She will also demonstrate the utility of this novel panel by showcasing studies using difficult and degrated samples (cefDNA and FFPE).
