Description
The XpressAmp™ Amplification Reagents provide a RNA extraction free method to prepare viral samples for PCR-based amplification using available RT-qPCR reagents. The reagents allow the user to perform direct amplification analysis in RT-qPCR following a 10-minutes room temperature incubation that is easy to automate. This method provides labs to skip extraction steps in their PCR workflow. A lab can simply mix the sample with the XpressAmp™ Lysis Buffer, incubate, and then transfer the sample directly into a qPCR reaction containing the XpressAmp™ Solution. Direct amplification of XpressAmp™ Direct Amplification Reagent can be done with only three steps. First, sample will be collected and stored with nasopharyngeal swabs in transport media. Second, sample will be lysed with combination of sample and XpressAmp™ Lysis Buffer (ratio 1:1) and incubated for 10 minutes at room temperature. Third, sample will be amplified and analyzed with addition of sample to RT-qPCR that is containing of XpressAmp™ Solution.
Features and Benefits
- Quick: ten-minute, room temperature sample lysis.
- Efficiency: reduced reagent supply dependencies.
- Save time: sample extraction kits ~60-90 minutes while direct amplification ~ 15 minutes.
